Project Overview
PCSD partnered with Green Dot Public Schools to construct a new school facility in the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles. The campus was carved out of a site occupied by an existing LAUSD elementary school, becoming two separate campuses that operate independently. The Green Dot campus houses Ánimo Venice Charter High School, enrolling 560 students in grades 9-12.
Construction of this facility was completed in 2009. The project incorporated sustainable design practices, including the addition of a solar panel array on the roof and the use of sustainable building materials.
