Project Overview
This new K-2 facility was built by Fenton Charter Public Schools to relieve overcrowding at their Fenton Avenue campus in the Lake View Terrace neighborhood of Los Angeles, which housed 1,500 K-5 students. The project site, located in Pacoima, was previously used for residential and agricultural purposes. PCSD managed the approval of a Conditional Use Permit, design, and construction of the new facility.
Upon completion of the project in 2013, Fenton Primary Center moved to the new facility with 800 K-2 students. The school includes a three-story building with 40 classrooms, a multi-purpose room, a full-service kitchen, administrative offices, and a playground.
