Project Overview
PCSD worked with Alpha Public Schools to expand its facilities on an existing campus for two co-located schools, Blanca Alvarado Middle School and Jose Hernandez Middle School. The project site is leased from the Alum Rock School District in San Jose, CA. Alpha negotiated a five-year lease renewal with a five-year option executed in December 2020.
The Alpha project included four new Enviroplex modular classrooms. This expansion allows Alpha to expand enrollment at both schools, accommodating a total of 210 more students. The campus expansion for Project I was completed in 2021 and for Project II in 2022.
