Project Overview
PCSD developed a former commercial site in Los Angeles into a shared campus for two Green Dot schools. This project was an adaptive reuse of two adjacent manufacturing buildings, as well as a parking lot directly across the street. Completed in 2008, the site serves as a permanent home for Ánimo Jefferson Middle School and Ánimo Ralph Bunche Charter High School.
With a total of 48 classrooms across the two schools, the campus can accommodate up to 1,120 middle and high school students. The facility includes four science labs, a library, a multipurpose room, administrative offices, and a gymnasium. This project was the first charter high school in California to be accredited through the LEED for Schools program.
