Project Overview

PCSD worked with KIPP Northern California Public Schools to lease and develop a former Oakland Unified School District middle school campus. The site was chosen as a long-term home for KIPP Bridge Academy, a combined elementary and middle school founded in 2002. This project included the renovation of an existing district facility, as well as construction of two new buildings–a middle school classroom building and a multi-purpose space.

KIPP Bridge Academy moved into the facility in 2016, following renovations to the existing district building. PCSD managed the design and construction of the additional buildings, which were completed in 2018. With these additions, the renovated campus provides plenty of space to accommodate the school’s full enrollment of 765 students in grades TK-8.
