Project Overview
In 2008, PCSD completed this adaptive reuse of a former furniture manufacturing facility for Green Dot Public Schools. This included renovating an existing industrial building and demolishing an adjacent building to create open/green space.
From 2008 to 2020, Ánimo Pat Brown High School was housed at this site. In 2020, PCSD completed the tenant improvement of an adjacent light industrial building for the high school, and Ánimo Florence Firestone Middle School moved into this site. (Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person instruction resumed at both campuses in 2021.) This facility houses up to 570 middle school students in grades 6-8, and shares outdoor space with the high school next door.
