At PCSD, we are grounded by our commitment to take the burden of facilities development and project management off a charter operator’s plate and allow them to stay primarily focused on teaching and learning. Our philanthropic partners have been important drivers of that work, allowing us to invest time, expertise, and resources to lead each project to successful completion.
We are also deeply committed to helping our charter school partners grow, expand their reach, and become catalysts for change in their communities. Our funders’ support of our region-based growth model has allowed us to make deep, meaningful investments across the cities we work in to expand our impact.
Since 2004, PCSD has raised a pool of more than $100 million in philanthropic equity, allowing us to invest low-cost capital to help make facilities development more financially sustainable for qualified charter schools.
