PCSD managed the improvement of an existing building for Green Dot Public Schools’ Ánimo Pat Brown (ÁPB) High School. The facility served as a mattress factory for 20-30 years prior to being renovated as a high school. The facility is about 40,000 sq. ft. with parking lot and outdoor space on a parcel totaling 3 acres. There are 28 classrooms, a multi-purpose room and administrative office space serving a total of 600 students. ÁPB High School is currently fully enrolled and has occupied a state-funded building completed in 2008 on a parcel adjacent to this site. The high school moved to this site and Green Dot’s Ánimo Florence Firestone Middle School moved from a Prop 39 location into the adjacent site providing a seamless transition from middle school to high school.
