Fenton FASEL and STEM Academies

The Fenton FASEL and STEM Academies are two new elementary schools that are co-located in a new facility in the Sun Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles.  The project involved the major renovation of a 50,000 sf office building built in 1980.  Each school occupies 18 classrooms and the schools share administrative space, a multipurpose room, hands-on lab, playground and parking.

The Fenton Academy for Social and Emotional Learning (FASEL) focuses on developing responsible, thoughtful citizens by creating a learning environment in which students are challenged to explore, create and actively participate in their education.  The STEM Academy focuses on science, technology, engineering and math across all disciplines.  The academies will enroll 432 students each and are operated by Fenton Charter Public Schools.
