Aspire Pacific Academy Phase II

This project provided a secondary school facility, a gymnasium and a soccer field for Aspire Public Schools.  The site is located in downtown Huntington Park just east of Alameda Street.  The new school building created 510 seats serving grades 7-12, and includes 16 classrooms and 2 auxiliary rooms as well as a multi-purpose room on the ground floor.  The gymnasium has a capacity of 580 seats and also functions as a performing arts space.  The soccer field is approximately 37,000 sqft and is laid with artificial turf. This latest phase of the campus has 69 on-site parking spaces.  This site has been built to Field Act requirements and LEED Silver certification.

This project is part of a larger campus, owned and operated by Aspire Public Schools. A previous construction phase included a privately financed secondary school which opened in 2010 with 560 student capacity.

The school site was previously a truck dealership, maintenance shop and paved parking with a single family residence.  The overall campus development design combined 14 lots and the vacation of a portion of 58th Street by the City of Huntington Park to accommodate the soccer field.
