Historic Project

Watts Learning Center: WLC Elementary School

This is a multi-phased, state-of-the-art renovation for this one acre campus. The first phase consists of new construction of a two-story, 11,460 SF building with 9 classrooms.

PCSD provided project management services to Watts Learning Center for Phase 1 of their project. As owner’s rep, PCSD ensured both the timely completion of the construction, oversight of all expenditures and assistance in fundraising for any future construction.

The Watts Learning Center with its latest API score of 813, significantly outperforms all elementary and magnet schools in South LA. WLC is renowned for providing a superb, well-rounded and internationally-based education, including summer field trips to Africa for its older students. It has received the California Distinguished School Award the last five years in a row.
