YPI Monsenor Oscar Romero Charter School

Monsenor Oscar Romero Charter School is currently operated by YPI Charter Schools (YPICS) on LAUSD's Berendo Middle School through Prop 39.  In order to build a permanent facility for the charter school, YPICS will enter into a long term lease with the District on a 1.1 acre site at the northeast corner of the campus.  The project will house 405 students from 6-8th grade in a new two-story building with 16 classrooms.  It will also include administration offices, a multipurpose room with servery, lunch shelter and underground parking.  The charter will have use of Berendo Middle School’s sports fields through a joint use agreement with the District.
