Eric has thirty years of experience with food plant operations, new plant construction and charter school development. Eric joined The Wonderful Company in 2007 as VP of Capital Projects and is responsible for new facility construction for eight operating companies owned by TWC. Eric started his career as a project engineer with Frito-Lay and later joined American Italian Pasta Company (AIPC) as a maintenance manager. Eric spent 15 years at AIPC as the company grew to become the largest pasta manufacturer in North America. Eric became an executive officer in 2001 and completed five new facilities for AIPC over a ten-year, $450MM period of rapid growth. Acting as an internal contractor for The Wonderful Company, Eric’s team of 45 engineers and project managers have managed over $2billion of capital projects for TWC over the past ten years. Eric’s team also operates a 40 person fabrication facility. The Capital Project process includes feasibility studies, design, process engineering, equipment fabrication and procurement, building construction management and equipment installation. Projects completed for TWC include $200MM of new almond and pistachio plants for Wonderful Pistachios and Almonds, $35MM bottling plant for POM Wonderful, a $300MM processing plant for Halos mandarins, a $25MM winery for Justin Vineyards, a $65MM pheromone manufacturing plant for Suterra and several philanthropic and educational projects, including a $82MM charter school for 1,800 students in Delano, CA. Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas.
